Using Trailers from Tape-Based Formats
- For trailers with 5.1-channel soundtracks (five main channels plus a low-frequency effects channel), the audio tracks must be encoded in 5.1-channel Dolby Digital at a data rate of either 384 kbps or 448 kbps. Data rates lower than 384 kbps may not be used, and the soundtrack may not contain less than 5.1 channels. Audio must be encoded with a product that features the Dolby Digital Professional Encoder.
- The video program must be encoded using a high-quality MPEG-2 video encoder, and the resulting picture quality must be comparable to or better than that typically available within the industry.
